Job Description
- Inspection, testing, of fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems at various industrial, commercial and institutional facilities in accordance with NFPA, local and state codes.
- Other duties may include the inspection of fire alarm systems, kitchen suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers.
- Generating reports based on inspection findings.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with fire sprinkler system inspection, testing, and troubleshooting.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of all types of sprinkler systems to include wet, dry, deluge, pre-action systems, fire pumps and associated equipment.
- Plan reading and interpretation a plus.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's license.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus.
- Electrical knowledge with fire alarm panels a plus.
- Current NICET certification in fire sprinkler subfield a plus. Applicant will be required to obtain certification with 1st year of employment.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Computer knowledge.
- Must be able to work well on ladders and/or lifts, able to work in crawl spaces and attics, and must be able to lift in excess of 75 lbs.
- NJ State Fire License a plus.
- Must be able to pass drug screening tests.
