Fire Extinguisher/Suppression System Service Technician |
|
|
• |
Inspection, testing, recharging and installation of portable fire extinguishers and/or kitchen suppression systems at commercial facilities in accordance with NFPA, local and state codes. |
|
• |
Perform inspection, test and repair/replacement of Exit/Emergency Light units and fire hose. |
|
• |
Other duties may include the inspection of fire alarm systems and various sprinkler systems. |
|
• |
Generating reports based on inspection findings. |
|
• |
Minimum 3-5 years experience with Portables, Kitchen Systems or other Fire Protection field. |
|
• |
Experience with both low and high pressure hydrostatic testing equipment a plus. |
|
• |
A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. |
|
• |
Valid New Jersey Drivers license. |
|
• |
Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus. |
|
• |
Good written and verbal skills. |
|

NAFED certification in portables and/or pre-engineered systems required. |

Fire Sprinkler Service Technician |
|
|
• |
Inspection, testing, and installation of fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems at various industrial, commercial and institutional facilities in accordance with NFPA, local and state codes. |
|
• |
Perform inspections, test and repair/replacement of fire hose and fire hydrants. |
|
• |
Other duties may include the inspection of fire alarm systems, kitchen suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers. |
|
• |
Generating reports based on inspection findings. |
|
• |
Minimum 3-5 years experience with Fire Sprinkler System inspection, testing, troubleshooting and/or installation. |
|
• |
A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. |
|
• |
Knowledge of all types of sprinkler systems to include wet, dry, deluge, pre-action systems, fire pumps and associated equipment. |
|
• |
Plan reading and interpretation a plus. |
|
• |
Valid New Jersey Drivers license. |
|
• |
Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus. |
|
• |
Electrical knowledge with fire alarm panels a plus. |

Current NICET certification in Fire Sprinkler subfield a plus. Applicant will be required to obtain certification with 1st year of employment. |

Troubleshooting of fire alarm panels to determine origin of trouble and repair of the same. |
|
• |
Programming of various panels subsequent to installation activities. |
|
• |
Install Fire Alarm systems from a set of plans. |
|
• |
Perform inspections, test and repair/replacement of Exit/Emergency Light Units. |
|
• |
Other duties may include the inspection of portable fire extinguisher, kitchen suppression systems and various sprinkler systems. |

Candidate must be mechanically inclined. |

Welding experience including MIG welding. |
|

Fork lift experience and/or operator certification a plus. |

Knowledge of OSHA industrial Health and Safety Laws. |

Valid New Jersey Driver's license. Class “A” or “B” CDL a plus. |
